What does a 60 minute dog walk include?
1. Leash & Collar Check:

Safety first! I’ll double-check your dog’s leash, collar or harness to ensure a secure and comfortable walk.

2. Tailored Exploration:
I’ll choose a varied walking route based on the dog’s breed, age, preferences & recent trips out, in my specially adapted vehicle with safety crates, ventilation, air conditioning & heating directly into the dog crates.
From scenic trails to wide-open spaces, there will be plenty of exciting sights and sniffs to keep your pup engaged & mentally stimulated.

3. Hydration & Treats on the Go:
I’ll always carry fresh water to keep your dog hydrated & treats to give where appropriate throughout the adventure.

4. Energetic Activities:
I’ll incorporate playtime activities like fetch, scent play, digging, paddling, swimming & tug-of-war (with appropriate toys) to keep them active and mentally stimulated.

5. Equipment:
Where appropriate I will provide long lines for recall practice or those that must stay on lead but love a little more freedom, I will also provide my own seat belts & travel for walks further afield, balls & first aid equipment where required.

6. Happy and Safe Return:
After a pawsome walk, I’ll return your furry friend home, happy and tired, I will check water bowls & refill if needed.
I’ll provide a quick post-walk update on their adventure with GPS screenshot, photo & include any interesting sights or sniffs they encountered.

Will my dog be walked with other dogs?
Unless you book a 1:1 walk, your pup may be walked in small groups with no more than 3 other dogs, I will match your dog with other dogs of similar personalities, energy levels & sizes.

Where will my dog be walked?
Your dog will be walked in any of the local nature spots in & around Poole & Lytchett, I try to take varied location walks to keep your pup mentally stimulated & engaged.

Will walks be off-leash?
At Jurassic Tails Poole, I prioritise leash safety for all our furry friends.

For dogs with excellent recall that I have personally signed off on, I can explore off-leash options in quieter areas.
This is only considered after a dog has shown good recall with me during walks, after I have done some recall work and trust has been built between us.
We will discuss leash preferences and explore the possibility of off-leash walks during the meet & greet consultation.

What if there is an emergency?
I am dog first-aid certified and carry a dog first aid kit with me, additionally emergency contact information for both you and your vet.

In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will prioritise your dog’s well-being and take them to the vet where deemed necessary, contacting you immediately

What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that life happens! To ensure fairness for both you, your dog & myself, I kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellation of a scheduled walk.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee.
